Satin stitch letters 2 inches or larger and approximately 7mm or more in width will automatically split into 2 feathered rows. The finished look will be similar. Many machines will not allow satin stitch to exceed 7mm in width and will split the letters into two feathered rows to accommodate this. Most digitizing software will automatically take this into consideration when exporting design files
